Spring is officially a week away. But its entry in New England is rarely straightforward. We will have to extend our northern stoicism and keep our winter coats on our coat-hooks by the door. But eventually we will get there, because even here in New England, spring never skips us.
The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra was formed in 1991 to preserve and foster the enjoyment of mandolin music. We have about 25 musicians, playing mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, and bass. Our repertoire includes transcriptions of classical music, mandolin orchestra arrangements from the early 1900s, modern compositions for mandolin orchestra, and arrangements of popular tunes.
